As intimated previously, the Skill Test for Stenographers Grade ‘C’& ‘D’ Examination, 2017, which was cancelled earlier, will now be held between 20.08.2018 and 19.09.2018. Download Admit Card 2018: The hall ticket of SSC Stenographer is available for online download and the commission will not sent the admit card to any candidate by post or email. Candidates will appear for a written exam scheduled to be held from September 11-14 followed by Skill Test. The admit card for SSC Stenographer skill test will be issued separately to those candidates who will qualify the computer based test.

Admit card Important Points

  • Admission certificates for SSC Stenographer 2018 has been made available for all candidates who have successfully submitted their application.
  • The Admit Card will not be sent by post.
  • If a candidate is unable to download their Admit Card for appearing in the examination one week before the date of examination must immediately contact the concerned regional/sub regional office of the Commission with details such as registration ID, Transaction ID of SBI, Copy of challan etc for obtaining the Admit Card.
  • Candidates should carry at least one original photo ID such as Voter’s ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, ID Cards to the examination centre along with the Admit Card.
  • Candidates without such ID Cards will not be allowed to enter the examination hall/skill test venues

Eligibility

As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification No. 44 dated 01.03.1995 published in Gazette of India edition dated 08.04.1995, the Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU. Accordingly, unless such Degrees had been recognized for the period when the candidates acquired the relevant qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification

SSC Stenographer Grade C & D 2018 Examination

Skill Test: The Candidates of Steno Grade C & D Exam-2017 are informed that the document verification and Skill Test (NER) scheduled from 04.01.2018 is postponed due to administrative reasons. New dates will be informed in due course as and when fixed by the Commission.

  1. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade C? and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D?.
  2. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only.
  3. VH candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 75 minutes for English Shorthand or in 100 minutes for Hindi Shorthand for the post of Stenographer Grade D? and in 70 minutes for English Shorthand test and in 95 minutes for Hindi Shorthand test for the post of Stenographer Grade C?.
  4. The skill test will be held at the Commission’s Regional/Sub Regional Offices or at other Centre(s) as may be decided by the Commission.

  • The CBT will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.
  • There will be three parts in the test. Part-I and Part-II will consist of 50 questions each. Both the part will be for 50 marks each.
  • The maximum marks allotted to Part-III of SSC Stenographer 2017 examination is 100 marks.
  • The questions except Part III will be set both in English and Hindi.
  • The time duration for general candidates will be 2 hrs. and 2 hrs. 40 mins for visually handicapped candidates.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC Stenographer Grade C & D 2018 Examination

As per SSC Stenographer exam pattern 2018, the CBT will be conducted on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. The maximum marks allotted to CBT is 200. The question paper will contain objective type Multiple Choice questions. Candidates who will secure qualifying marks in CBT will only be called for the Skill Test. Document Verification

The original certificates/documents of successful candidates will be verified for which dates will be notified after declaration of result. On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested,

The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter and in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Online Examination.
