About Examination Board
Innovation is the process of turning ideas into manufacturing and marketable form and Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL), an enterprise promoted by Government of Tamil Nadu, has precisely followed this adage. The Unit- I of TNPL at Kagithapuram, Karur district was commissioned in October 1985 with an installed capacity of 90,000 TPA of Newsprint/Fine Paper, in a single machine. Over a period of time, TNPL has added two more paper machines, besides upgrading the existing Paper machine. The increased production capacity of 400,000 TPA of writing and printing papers has made TNPL as one of the largest bagasse- a residue of sugar cane, as primary raw material, in the world.

The selection for the post of TNPL Semi Skilled 2019 will be made on the basis of Written Examination followed by interview of eligible and successful candidates.

Eligibility or Qualification
First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with First Class Boiler Attendant Certificate. (or) SSLC with National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Fitter / Electrician / Instrument Mechanic Trade with not less than 60% of marks and National Apprenticeship Certificate with First Class / Second Class Boiler Attendant Certificate.

Exam Pattern for TNPL Semi Skilled 2019
There will be no supplementary examination for any candidate who are absent for Written Exam. Typing Test for whatever reason.
The question paper shall be of Objective Multiple Choice type in English and Hindi only and likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning.
The Question paper will be of 90 minutes duration for l00 Questions.
There shall be negative marking in Written Examinations and 1 /3 of the allotted marks for each question shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
Admit Card / Hall Ticket
- Candidates should bring the printout of them admit card in the examination hall.
- Candidates should download their admit card before the date of exam.
- Candidate are advised to validate all the details mentioned on their Admit Card.
- Date, Time and Venue of the Exam will be given on the Admit Card.
- Candidate should bring their Valid ID proof at the time of Exam.
- Candidates are advised to keep their Admit Card safe till the joining. Admit Card will be required at the time of joining.
