Selection Method

Procedure Of Selection: The Final Selection Of The Post Will Be Based On Marks Secured In The Main Examination Either Online Or OMR Based And Interview / Demonstration / Viva-Voce Marks Put Together.
The applicants will be subjected to a “Preliminary (Screening Test)” of Objective Type for the purpose of short listing the number of candidates to be admitted to the main examination (Objective Type) and the marks secured by the candidates in the preliminary (Screening Test) will not be counted for the purpose of final selection

ABOUT US

The new State of Telangana is came into existence on 2nd June 2014 with 10 Districts from erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh. In the process of achieving Golden Telangana, Irrigation & CAD Department of Telangana State is making every effort to harness and utilize all the available water resources for benefitting of Agricultural sector, Industrial Sector and also providing drinking water for overall development.
The development of Irrigation in Telangana is mostly dependent on Godavari & Krishna Rivers and their tributaries, Tanks & Ponds. Tanks are the most important resources of Telangana. There are 46,531 Nos of water bodies varying from very large tanks to small ponds & percolation tanks. Restoration & Renovation of tanks has been taken by I&CAD Department under Mission Kakatiya, a flagship Programme of Government of Telangana at 20% tanks every year.

Instructions to Candidates at the time of Written Examination

Important Note: The test is of two hours duration. The date and time will be indicated on the Hall ticket. Candidates should reach the test centre in time. Candidates will be allowed into the examination hall half-an-hour before the scheduled starting time.

ADVERTISING

Candidates will not be allowed into the examination hall after the test has started and will not be permitted to leave examination hall before the closure of test time under any circumstances.
The test will be of objective type with multiple-choice questions with only one answer being correct among the four alternatives suggested.
A separate O M R (Optical Mark Reader) answer sheet with the carbon impression paper will be provided to the candidates.
The candidate has to indicate his response to each question by darkening the appropriate bubble with a Black Ball Point pen. No corrections with white fluid will be permitted.
The candidate has to bring a good quality Black Ball point pen to the examination hall.
The candidate has to handover the original OMR Sheet to the invigilators in the examination centre and is however permitted to take away the duplicate OMR Sheet (the carbon impression paper) along with question paper after the examination.

Those candidates who qualify in the Examination in order of merit will be called for verification of Certificates, Community and Category wise for the vacancies available as required.
The minimum qualifying marks for Selection are for OCs 40%, BCs 35% SCs and STs 30%. The minimum qualifying marks are relaxable in the case of SC/ST/BC at the discretion of the Commission.
Those candidates who are called for verification of certificates shall exercise web – option prior to verification of certificates, failing which his/her candidature is liable for rejection for further selection process.

COMMISSION’S DECISION TO FINAL: The decision of the Commission in all aspects and all respects pertaining to the application and its acceptance or rejection as the case may be, conduct of examination and at all consequent stages culminating in the selection or otherwise of any candidate shall be final in all respects and binding on all concerned, under the powers vested with it under Article 315 and 320 of the Constitution of India.
Commission also reserves its right to alter and modify time and conditions laid down in the notification for conducting the various stages up to selection, duly intimating details thereof to all concerned, as warranted by any unforeseen circumstances arising during the course of this process, or as deemed necessary by the Commission at any stage.

The candidates must bring one photo identity proof such as passport/ Addhar/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter’s Id Card/ Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph/ Identity Card issued by School or College/ Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy thereof. The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which or if identity of candidates is in doubt the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test.
