About Examination Board

Indo-Tibetan Border Police was raised on October 24, 1962 for reorganizing the frontier intelligence and security set up along the Indo-Tibetan border. Only four Battalions were sanctioned to begin with. ITBP was initially raised under the CRPF Act. However, in 1992, parliament enacted the ITBPF Act and the rules there under were framed in 1994.

Basic Medical Standard

The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes; Must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
An colour blind person will not be eligible for appointment. If at any stage of service career, person is found to be colour blind, he will be boarded out as per SHAPE Policy in vogue in the force.

IDENTITY VERIFICATION for ITBP Constable GD 2019

The original certificates/documents of successful candidates will be verified for which dates will be notified after declaration of result. On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested,
The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter and in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Online Examination.
