Candidate must have passed High School Certificate examination or equivalent examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or by any other recognized Board / Council, A candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed Odia as one of the subjects in the High School Certificate Examination or an examination in Odia Language equivalent to M.E standard, recognized or conducted by the School and Mass Education Department of Government of Odisha.

The deficiencies of a Sportsperson, who is deficient in his/her physical standards of measurements by 3 cm in height, 2 cm in chest and 5 Kg in weight for his candidature for appointment to the post of Constables will be relaxed provided he/she has represented the State in a National level sports and games meet. For such representation in sports and games, only the certification from the Directorate of sports shall be considered.

Driving Test: Allotted Marks: O5 Marks

The test shall be conducted only for those candidates who claim ‘in their applications that they are proficient in driving and possesses either Light or Heavy Vehicle Driving license for the last six months( excluding learning period) or more from the date of advertisement of vacancies and wishes to appear in the driving test for award of marks.
Those candidates who possesses valid Heavy Vehicles Driving license and pass Heavy Vehicle driving test, shall be awarded 05 Marks. Those candidates who have the valid Light Vehicle Driving license and pass Light Vehicle Driving test shall be awarded 3 Marks, of those appearing for the test and awarded the marks shall be deemed to have accepted the service condition that if called upon they shall have to drive the light or heavy vehicle, as the case may b€, as part of their normal duties and responsibilities.

Medical Examination for Odisha Police Constable / Sepoys 2018

A committee consisting of a Medical Officer not below the rank of SDMO and another Doctor shall conduct medical examination before commencement of the Physical Efficiency Test. The candidates having organic defects, Physical deformity or found unfit will not be allowed to appear In the Physical Efficiency Tests.

IDENTITY VERIFICATION for Odisha Police Constable / Sepoys 2018

The original certificates/documents of successful candidates will be verified for which dates will be notified after declaration of result. On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested, viz.: i) Copy of downloaded Registration Slip of on-line application form. ii) Copy of downloaded Admit Card. iii) Certificate showing the Date of Birth. iv) Caste certificate if applied under SC/ST/OBC category issued by the competent authority. v) Disability Certificate, if applied under PWD category. vi) ‘No Objection Certificate’ if in regular employment. vii) Experience certificate, if any.
The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter and in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Online Examination.
