Education Qualification: Applicants must have a completed 10th Class examination under 10+2 system of Education or its equivalent or ITI Course in relevant trades from the recognized board/university.

About Examination Board

South Eastern Railway had its humble origin in Chhatisgarh State Railway way back in 1882 comprising of a Metre Gauge (MG) railway line from Nagpur to Rajnandgaon(149 miles) with its HQ at Nagpur. The construction of the line was prompted by a desire of the then Govt. of Central province to provide quick transportation of food grain from the Chhatisgarh region to other parts as a step to prevent famine.

Exam Pattern for South Eastern Railway Apprentice 2018

• Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks.
• The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching, research aptitude of the candidate.
• It will primarily be designed to test General Intelligence, General Knowledge, English Language, Aptitude, Reasoning, Computer Knowledge of the candidate.
• Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
• The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi languages.
• The Selection Committee has the discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks in written examination.

On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested,
