TS Police SI & Constable Police Syllabi

The candidates can be selected based on the selection process of Preliminary Examination, Physical Measurement Examination, and Written Examination. Physical Measurement Test

Category Hight Chest
Male Must not be less than 167.6 cms. Must not be less than 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
Female Must not be less than 152.5 cms –

Physical Efficiency Test will be qualifying in nature.

For Post Code Nos. 11 & 17 (Men): Candidates must qualify in any of the three (3) events (must qualify in 800 meters run out of 3 events), out of the five (5) events of the Physical Efficiency Test as detailed

  • Contents pertaining to the State of Telangana.

SYLLABUS FOR FINAL WRITTEN EXAMINATION

  • History of India, Indian culture, Indian National Movement.
  • Indian Geography, Polity and Economy

  • Personality test (the questions will be from Ethics, Sensitivity to Gender and weaker sections, social awareness, Emotional Intelligence)

Syllabus for General Studies
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Jharkhand
Syllabus for Knowledge related to Jharkhand State
Geography, History, Civilization, Culture, Language-Literature, Places, Mines and Minerals, Industry, Contribution of Jharkhand in freedom Movement, Development Plans, sports and sportsman, personality, civil achievements, national and international importance etc.
Syllabus for General Science
Questions of General Science will include to test knowledge of matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject.
Syllabus for General Mathematics
Arithmetic, elementary algebra geometry, general trigonometry, mensuration. Generally, questions of Matric/10th standard will be include.
Syllabus for Mental Ability Test
It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series.

  • The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the final written examination in each paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen.
  • The final selection of the candidates will be made strictly on relative merit, as obtained by them based on their score in the final written examination (Papers I and II) (for 200 marks) and Physical Efficiency Test (for 125 marks) totalling to 325 marks.
  • In the preliminary examination, there total 200 questions will be asked in the examination and each question will carry one mark. In mains examination, the total examination will be conducted for the 400 marks

For policewomen constables (civil & ar)

  • Height:  should not be less than 152.5 cms.
  • Chest:  not applicable
  • Weight: should not be less than 40 kgs.

For police constables (civil/ar/spf/tssp) men
Height:  should not be less than 167.6 cms.
Chest:  should not be less than 86.3 cms.
For police constable (sct stipendiary cadet trainee ar/ civil/spf/tssp) men:
Height: should not be less than 160 cms.
Chest:   should not be less than 80cms.
For police constable (sct stipendiary cadet trainee) women:
Height: should not be less than 150 cms.

Weight: should not be less than 38 kgs.

100 meters run: 15 seconds
Long jump: 3.80 meters
Shotput: 5.60 meters
High jump: 1.20 meters
800 meters run: 170 seconds

100 meters run: 20 seconds
Shotput: 3.75 meters
