TNPSC Assistant Jailor 2018 Admit Card / Hall Ticket Download

The Commission is required to advise the Government on all matters relating to framing of recruitment rules, principles to be followed in making appointments and promotions and transfers from one service to another service, in respect of disciplinary matters affecting Government Servants and to conduct examinations for selection of candidates under direct recruitment to the State, Subordinate and Ministerial Services.
Selection Process
The selection will be made in three successive stages viz., (i) Preliminary Examination for selection of applicants for admission to the Main Examination, (ii) Main Examination and (iii) Viva–Voce Test.
Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test in the shape of an interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments. Applicants appearance in the Written Examination and Oral Test is compulsory. An applicant who has not appeared for the Written Examination or the Oral Test will not be considered for selection, even if he/she secures qualifying marks for selection.
Mobile Phones and other Articles Banned
Applicants are not allowed to bring cellular phones, calculators, watches and rings with inbuilt memory notes etc., or any other electronic devices and non electronic devices such as P&G Design Data Book, books, notes, hand bags and recording devices either as separate piece or part of something used by the applicant such as watch or ring etc., to the examination hall / room on the date of examination.
Applicants are not allowed to bring into the examination hall, any article such as books, notes, loose sheets, electronic or any other type of calculators, mathematical and drawing instruments, log tables, stencils of maps, slide rules, text books, rough sheets etc., except the permitted writing material (i.e. pen).

About Examination Board
In the year 1923, the British Government established a Public Service Commission to examine the salary structure of the Indian Civil Service. The Commission was composed of four Englishmen and four Indian with Lord Lee of Fareham serving as its Chairman. The Commission also addressed the rate of Indianization of the Indian Civil Service and the Indian Police. It determined a rate which in fifteen years would make the Indian Civil Service with a fifty per cent Indian membership and the same in twenty-five years for the Indian Police.
CERTIFICATE OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT
A certificate containing the following particulars should be obtained from a Medical Officer, above the rank of an Assistant Surgeon appointed by the Government to Government Medical Institution on or after the date of Notification (08.10.2018) and submit the documents when called for by the Commission.

Exam Pattern for TNPSC Assistant Jailor 2018
The applicants who have not appeared for any of the papers in the Main Written Examination or Oral Test will not be considered for further selection process even if they secure the minimum qualifying marks for selection.
In respect of Paper-I, the questions will be set both in Tamil and in English. In respect of Paper-II, the questions on General Studies and Aptitude & Mental Ability Test will be set both in English and in Tamil and the questions on General Tamil and General English will be set in the respective language
The candidates for admission to Main Examination will be shortlisted as decided by the Commission at a ratio not exceeding 10 times of the number of vacancies following the rule of reservation. However, in each reservation group, all the applicants, who secure the same marks as that of the cut off marks of their reservation groups shall also be admitted to the Main Written Examination, though the number of applicants to be admitted to the Main Written Examination may exceed 1:10 ratio.
Exam Centre
Request for change of centre / venue will not be entertained. The Commission reserves the right to increase / decrease the number of examination centres and to re-allot the applicants. Applicants should appear for the Written Examination / Physical Test / Certificate Verification/ Oral Test at their own expenses.

Hall Tickets for eligible applicants will be made available in the Commission’s website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net or www.tnpscexams.in for downloading by applicants. Hall Tickets will not be sent by post. Hence, applicants should watch TNPSC website before the scheduled date of examination.

Admit card Important
- Candidates should bring the printout of them admit card in the examination hall.
