About Examination Details
Applications are invited only through online mode up to 09.09.2018 for direct recruitment to the posts included in Combined Civil Services Examination–II (Interview Posts) (Group-II Services).
Note: Two types of question papers will be set. One type of paper will contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 items) and General English (100 items). The other will contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 items) and General Tamil (100 items). Candidates are given the option to choose either General Tamil or General English for answering the second 100 items apart from answering the first (75+25) 100 items on General Studies.

The educational qualification prescribed for this recruitment should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the order of studies viz.10th + HSC or its equivalent + U.G. degree / degree in Law. P.G degree as the case may be as required in Section 25 of Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016. (Results of the prescribed Educational qualification and preferential qualification should have been declared on or before the date of Notification).
Applicants claiming equivalence of qualification to the prescribed qualification should upload and submit evidence for equivalence of qualification in the form of G.O. issued prior to the date of this notification when called for, failing which, their application will be summarily rejected. The G.Os issued regarding equivalence of prescribed qualification after the date of this notification will not be accepted.

Selection Process
The selection will be made in three successive stages viz., (i) Preliminary Examination for selection of candidates for admission to the Main Written Examination (ii) Main Written Examination and (iii) an Oral Test in the shape of an Interview.

- The questions on General Studies will be set both in English and Tamil and the questions on General Tamil / General English will be set in the respective languages.
- The question paper will be set both in Tamil and English. The general subjects / topics from which the questions will be asked are :
- Role and impact of Science and Technology in the Development of India and Tamil Nadu.
- Administration of Union and States with special reference to Tamil Nadu.
- Socio Economic Problems of India and Tamil Nadu.
- Current issues at National level.

Applicants are not allowed to bring cellular phones, calculators, watches and rings with inbuilt memory notes etc., or any other electronic devices and non electronic devices such as P&G Design Data Book, books, notes, hand bags and recording devices either as separate piece or part of something used by the applicant such as watch or ring etc., to the examination hall / room on the date of examination.
Applicants are not allowed to bring into the examination hall, any article such as books, notes, loose sheets, electronic or any other type of calculators, mathematical and drawing instruments, log tables, stencils of maps, slide rules, text books, rough sheets etc., except the permitted writing material (i.e. pen).
