Applications in prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs are invited from eligible male and female candidates to fill up (a) 270 posts of GD Constables in Armed Battalions, (b) 60 posts of Women Constables, (c) 12 posts of Constables (Technical) in Communication Branch in the pay band of Rs 5200- 20200 plus grade pay of Rs 2400 and other allowances as admissible under the rules in Sikkim Police.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Minimum class X passed from recognized Board for open candidates as well as for HG candidates.
EX-SERVICEMEN CANDIDATES shall be allowed to deduct the period of service rendered in Armed Forces from his actual age subject to his service (continuous) rendered in Armed Forces of the Indian Union is not less than 6 months and that he was not discharged or dismissed from the service on account of misconduct or inefficiency and is not a deserter.

Sikkim Police Constable (GD & Executive) 2018 Written Examination
WRITTEN TEST: Candidates who qualify in the physical measurement and PET shall be called for the written test which will be announced/notified separately. The detailed syllabus and distribution of marks can be had from the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police/Special Branch, Tadong, Gangtok and District SSP or can be downloaded from www.sikkimpolice.nic.in.
VIVA-VOCE: Only those candidates who qualify in written test shall be called for viva-voce. The names of such candidates shall be displayed in PHQ, Gangtok and offices of respective District SsP.

Important Details for Sikkim Police Constable Executive 2018
All candidates, who qualify the Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests, shall be put through a written test of one and a half hour (11/2) duration which will carry 100 marks.
The question paper will have 100 questions and will be of objective type and will include questions on Reasoning [35 Marks], General Knowledge/ Current Affairs [50 Marks] and Numerical Ability [15 Marks].
The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi).
There will be no negative marking. The date and venue for Written Test will be intimated during PE&MT. There will be no Interview/Viva-voce after the written test.
The merit will be based on the performance in Written Test only.

Sikkim Police Constable (GD & Executive) 2018 Verification Details
Document verification
The candidates are required to bring along the original of any of the Valid Photo Identity Card like Voter Card/ Aadhar Card/ Passport/ Driver’s License/ PAN card and two photographs apart from the Admission Certificate to be issued by ASRB while coming for the Examination at all stages (i.e. Preliminary, Mains and Viva-voce). Please note, that in case the candidate does not present the original Identity Card at the registration desk at the centre, he/she will not be allowed to take the examination under any circumstances. UID Card /Aadhar Card.
- Matric Certificate for age proof.
- Marks sheet and Degree Certificate of the requisite eligibility qualification.
- Caste and Creamy Layer Certificate issued by competent authority, if reservation benefit is claimed,
- If PHP (Divyang) Candidates, certificate from competent authority,
- If land loser/ land displaced person, certificate issued from District Magistrate/ Dy. Commissioner.
- If claims reservation against relatives of Freedom Fighter as per Govt. of Bihar Resolution, the Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed Performa of Govt. of Bihar
- Permanent Domicile of Bihar Certificate, if claim for reservation.
- Candidate already employed in Govt./ Semi Govt. organization/ Public sector will have to submit NOC from his employer when shortlisted for Verification/Joining.
- An Identity proof such as Passport/ Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter Card etc.
